New Hope and Freedom Counseling and Therapy Services

 

Our Counseling And Consulting Services are open to all:

We are committed to the highest professional services that we can logistically and ethically provide. We respect where each client has been and is coming from religiously and experientially.
 
When there are special financial concerns, we work with those needs, as God provides for ours. We do not directly work with any third-party payers, but can provide statements for reimbursement at their discretion in accordance with their contracted policies.
 
We provide live video and phone consultation and counseling to those who have access to phone or online computer webservices.
 
For those who have experienced catastrophic trauma, loss or stress due to natural disasters, we offer three free sessions, and adjustment of further fees as we able to do so.
 
When there is loss of employment or catastrophic financial need, we will work with clients, offering services at 50% of normal fees until things are sufficiently improved.
 
We do this as a part of our mission of ministry, through private gifts (often offered by the counselor), and without outside organizational support or public pleas for funding. Gifts are appreciated and valued.

New Hope and Freedom was started in 1976 as a community counseling service offered by the pastor of the Grace Brethren church in Camden, Ohio. Over the years it has incorporated, expanded and contracted, relocated and refocused and now offers several facets of service. 
 
It has since its inception been on the cutting edge of providing excellent professional counseling, psychotherapy, workshops, seminars, group studies, private consultation and personal life-strategy coaching to individuals, couples, families, churches, leaders and corporations all coming from a caring, emancipating Christian perspective.
 
Dr. Sprunger, founder and director, is the author and developer of the theoretical approach to counseling psychology known since 1981 as "Emancipation Therapy." It is consistent with the New Testament concept that anything, inside or outside of us, past, present or future that rises to the level of being a lord and master over us is in conflict with good mental and behavioral health and the personal freedom God wants and Christ has purchased for us (Galatians 5:1, 13; John 8:31-36).

We are located in central Pennsylvania, serving directly Greater Reading & Lebanon, with clients cominf from Lancaster, Allentown, Bethlehem, Philadelphia, Pottsville, Harrisburg and York areas as in PA as well as Wilmington, DE.
